Improving Our Student Learning Environment

Brock's exceptional growth and success means we've simply outgrown our current facilities, and there is a pressing need for more teaching space and further research capabilities.  Brock's facilities are stretched to beyond capacity; we currently are 3,500 students over capacity if we compared ourselves to the system's average.

Funding new teaching and research facilities is a key initiative of the Campaign. Your support will help leverage government investments in building projects worth more than $266 million, helping meet our current needs and future growth.

In order to address the increased demand and urgent need for university education, Brock is planning for 14.4 per cent increase in our student population in the next five years. Our planned construction projects will not only enrich the learning experience for our current students, they will help our University attract more leading-edge faculty to a world-class research and discovery centre for the benefit of the broader community.

The physical expansion consists of the following:

  1. The new Niagara Health and Bioscience Research Complex
  2. The new Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts Campus
  3. A new Faculty of Business Building
  4. A Faculty of Education Expansion
  5. A new International Services Building
  6. A new Niagara athletic playing field facility
